Review: Standing at my Desk

So for the past two months I have been working while standing, both at my work office and home office. This is what I think so far:

  • I am more productive then I have ever been.
  • I don’t spend so much time glued to my computer at home.
  • I feel better after the long 9-5 days.

Now the majority of my time at work is standing and about 2-3 hours is sitting. The benefits of standing at your desk are getting clearer to me. When I was first doing my research on getting a standing desk for my office I had these to things written down:

  • Why wouldn’t I want to be more productive at work? (of course I didn’t let my boss see this!)
  • Help my health, why not?

I was not necessarily transitioning to a standing desk for all the health benefits it does give. I mean to be honest I didn’t really know there was a disease for sitting. But after transitioning I am happy to say that I do feel better after the 9-5 job. I feel like I am more productive during my day. And most importantly, I am more productive at home. So that is a general review of the past two months standing at my desk. I feel better. I stand.

Your thoughts?

Have you transitioned to a standing desk yet? I know you want to comment and tell me about your transition to a standing desk, so do it! If you are thinking about transitioning let’s talk about that too! Comment people, I want to hear from you!
